It was tangled up in that hair pretty thoroughly by the time he made it onto the scene, and even though the damage doesn't look incredibly serious from where Bigby's standing, that doesn't mean it'll get better if it's left alone. There's a lot of blood; the wolf's muzzle is wet with it as is the matted fur on its legs. Gotta fix that first and worry about what comes next later.
